More of my quilts....
More of my quilts on this page.  Lucy Loo wants some credit because she does help with every quilt.
My niece Rachel loves animals so I made her this cat rag quilt made of all flannel.  The colors are prettier than the show here.  There is a closeup of the cats below.  Christmas, 2004.
Also Christmas, 2004.  Another warm and cozy flannel rag quilt, this one is woodsy, all autumn colors.  I gave this to my nephew, Dan.  Again, the colors did not turn out well this day and then I mailed the quilts and couldn't retake them.....

From the "I like it like that"  pattern, this bug quilt is very warm flannel.  I sent it to my nephew, Walter and his girl friend, Sheri for Christmas, 04.  Suitable for the Michigan winter!!
A close-up of the bear quilt below.
Bears and Blueberries, I made this quilt for my nephew, Eric and his wife, Marti for Christmas, 04.  It reminds me of stories my grandmother told me of watching out for bears while she picked blueberries in the Adorondacks when she was young.
Similar fabrics to the quilt below, this yellow and blue 9-patch is set with sashing and gold posts.  It is larger and warmer than the other one.  I sent it to my mother for her 83rd birthday.  The quilt below was a gift to Brian's Aunt Mildred.
This baby quilt is called Animal Alphabet, made for Riley Gillum, born October, 2005. There are two close-ups below of the fabric squares and the quilting.  This is such cute fabric!!  (One of the squares looks crooked in the picture but it is really straight...)

"Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright"...I made this for Nick, my nephew for Christmas, 2005.  I just love these fabrics and it is the yellow road pattern that is so quick and fun to make.
This was a fun quilt to make.  It has dozens and dozens of pretty batiks from all over the country.  I made this square in a square quilt for my son, David for Christmas, 2006.  It is called "Gone Fishing".  Some of the squares have a fish batif and the batik on the back is a fish print. This is a queen size quilt.
These fabrics are so great...The focus print is a Michael Moore little kid design and many of the others are from a great little quilt store on Victoria Island.  I made this for Brian's mom for Christmas of 2006.
Brian actually won some of these beautiful fabrics in the 2006 Southern California Quilt Run!  Brian went with me to two stores and someone talked him into entering the contest.  It was called the "adult basket"  so he was maybe expecting something different.  The quilt is a Yellow Brick Road set on point.  I sent it to my mom for her birthday.
Another Lucky Star quilt made for Ezra Bogoyevac, our new great-nephew.  His parents are Michael and Anouska, Brian's sister's son and his wife.  What fun to make baby quilts!  Here is a photo of Ezra (on the left) with his pal Spencer.
This is a multi-fabric quilt with regular smooth cotton, regular chenille (light blue), waffle chenille (navy), and polka dot minke (red).  I did wash all of the fabric before making the quilt in case they shrink differently.  I tied the quilt with perle cotton because of the different textures, if you look closely you can see the little ties. I made this quilt for friends Beth and Bill Pine who recently retired and bought a summer cottage on Cayuga Lake.
This patriotic quilt is made of reproduction fabric around the time of the Civil War.  It combines a star pattern with a courthouse steps pattern.  It was fun to collect the fabric and to sew it together.  I really like the way it turned out, particularly the border.
